From this point on you are in the process of change so every time you see your reflection and those nasty negative thoughts start seeping in to your brain stop them! Tell yourself that you are finally doing something about it, and yes it will take time, but you are going to keep moving forward.

You will have to change a few things in your life in order to reduce belly fat and get that flat stomach and awesome body that you so desperately want (and deserve). First, I know this sounds terrible, but you need to reduce the number of calories that you consume each day. The best thing to do is to start writing in a food journal. Write down everything you eat (don’t wait until the end of the day and then try to think back on what you ate. Write down each thing and the amount of it as you eat it.). Also write down how you felt when you ate it – were you actually hungry or were you depressed or maybe you were in a good mood. Writing down everything you eat makes you think about what you are doing. You also need to burn more calories each day than you consume (this means some form of physical activity like cardio and weight lifting but also things like walking and gardening).
